A nice set-up & a good idea but not very welcoming when the host disappears half way thru (sorry Amanda but you did!) One band played longer than the others. Seem to stick to their favourites! But a cute litle underground venue.

Oh dear. What did we do to piss you off Dan?!
Amanda - Sep 07
An up-its-own-arse more-important-than-its-artists type place run by wankers. Ignore. Play the 12bar instead, which is the antithesis of this venue.

By far and away our favorite small venue to play at in London. Great to be fed and looked after so well, and then to play to a consistently full and bubbling room. Other acoustic venues take note... this is how to run your show!

Wednesdays at The Troubadour are without doubt the best of the short set genre. Two halfs of diverse music, completley digestable whatever your music taste. The sound is warm and suprisingly loud without being overbearing. Music is the priority and there are regular visitors who will come and see you again. Try and get a gig here and bring your fans with you, they will LOVE IT!

great venue, lovely giggle, good to play here, but be VERY careful about one thing- There is free food and wine for artists which is very cool, but make sure that you keep your eyes open and that as soon as you see the plates, go get it quick (it is served out as a buffet). We were soundchecking when I saw the first plates- I though 'yum, that looks nice, food must be ready'... but when I got to the plates, only chicken bones were left. Obviously I need to loose weight, but when the going gets tough, the tough better get eating, and quick too...

I loved playing at the Troubadour. A while since I did, but I played a couple of full band shows there with fairly low attendance. But the management liked me and invited two of us back the following week to play an opening set to Bert Jansch. That night it was standing room only.

Had a great time at the Troubadour made to feel very welcome by Amanda and her crew!

Great venue! the staff are great, the food is excellent and the sound system is perfect for acoustic gigs. Probably the best west-end venue I've performed at. Be sure to add it to your gig list!

Love playing here. Anyone thinking of playing the London Acoustic circuit should deffo make the Troubadour a priority !
Stu - Apr 04
I love playing this venue. Nice people, lovely atmosphere and occassionally a small furry animal will join you onstage. One of the only London venues to look after their artists properly - you get fed and treated nicely - there is a back room where you can safely leave your instruments. The sound is not quite as efficiently handled as it might be. The PA, however, is v. good. Local crowd and venue staff are very friendly. Thumbs up.
