During the last half-decade, our intimate basement bar has seen the likes of Ed Sheeran, Mumford & Sons, Frank Turner, The Staves and Carl Barat take to the stage. Meanwhile, folks like Mischa Barton, Sienna Miller, Jonny Borrell and Mighty Booshers Noel Fielding & Julian Barratt have simply chosen to hang out with us for a few drinks. And the nights we spent in the company with Martha Wainright and good old Suggs from Madness are probably best left to another time. Over the years we've also served up quite a few thousand of the 'best pizzas this side of Foreign', an accolade which was first bestowed upon us by The Observer Food Monthly back in August 2007…and one which we live up to every day!

The evening was spread across spoken word, poetry and music. Audience attentive and supportive, although musicians especially could be asked to TUNE UP BEFORE getting on stage (4 acts did not). Lovely PA and talented hostess whose singing and bass playing were impressive. A great vibe so I'll be back.
Loads of new live music at The Hideaway now...check out the website for more info!

Is this venue still breathing?
Cosy basement bar, great music, perfect acoustics and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Oh, and the best pizzas ever... Highly recommended!
I saw 3 people perform in the basement of this cosy new bar and thoroughly enjoyed it. Upstairs sets the mood with tasty pizza, incredibly garlicky humous, a great selection of wines and interesting and cosy decor (v comfy sofas!). The basement provides a great location for a gig - lots of seating yet intimate-feeling and not too intimidating for those venturing onto the open mic! I'll definitely be returning.
